Dear friends and neighbors,

Over the past few months I have become increasingly discouraged by the inability of our elected leaders to find common ground and perform the most basic functions of government. After much serious consideration and thoughtful discussion with friends and family, I have decided to run for the United States House of Representatives. My conscience will no longer allow me to sit idly by as our leaders continue to bicker and engage in partisan posturing while times remain so hard and the future so uncertain. Hard decisions must be made and the longer we wait to make them – whether because our leaders are unable to make them or find it more politically beneficial to stall than forge solutions – the harder they will become to make. The time to act is now. It is time to elect leaders who will put country above party and solutions above political careers.
